Reviews

Words from real clients.

If I could give more stars, I would. I have been working with Darshana for a few years now, and I am glad she is continuing her journey as a therapist, as she is amazing to say the least. There have been times where I feel that I don't really need therapy, but I'm glad about all the times I have spoken with her about anything in my life, whether it's work related, or personal. She is super professional and unbiased. One thing I really like most about her is that she listens very well, and responds in a very detailed manner as well which makes utmost sense. She is confident every time she speaks, and always brings great energy to every session. She has helped me so much in my life with different aspects. Thank you for being there to help whenever I have needed you. You're the best. Let's keep continuing this journey we all refer to as life.

Nevesha Persad-Maharaj

Darshana is a consummate professional and I highly recommend her counselling services if you're seeking mental health support. She demonstrates patience, understanding, and knows how to ask pointed questions during sessions. Her practice approach carefully unpacks how emotions are connected to one's upbringing and experiences. I greatly appreciate her genuine desire to offer a listening ear and meaningful guidance.

How it works

How we work: a four-step cycle from first call to closing session.

Therapy isn't linear, but the shape of how we work together is predictable. Here's what the first few months tend to look like.

01 — New moon

Share your story during a consultation call.

A short call to hear what's bringing you in. No paperwork, no commitment.

02 — First quarter

Intake session

A deeper look at what's been going on — relationships, history, goals. We set a direction.

03 — Full moon

Ongoing sessions

The heart of the work. Pacing varies — weekly for some, biweekly for others. We shape it around what's working.

04 — Waning

Integration & close

As things steady, sessions space out. Endings are planned, not ghosted.

Questions

What Clients Ask Before Booking

Is therapy covered by OHIP?

Psychotherapy isn't covered by OHIP, but most extended health plans through employers cover therapy services. Reduced-rate spots are also available — just ask.

How much does a session cost?

Individual sessions in Toronto typically range from $160–$175 per 50 minutes. Reduced-rate spots exist for clients who need them; no documentation required.

In-person or online?

Both. In-person at 5399 Eglinton Ave W, Etobicoke. Virtual anywhere in Ontario via PHIPA-compliant video.

What makes this different from other practices?

This isn't one-size-fits-all therapy — it understands the nuance of your family, identity, and expectations, and helps you navigate anxiety, boundaries, and identity within your culture.

Ready when you are

Start with a free consultation. No paperwork, no commitment.

Most people find the next step gets clearer just by saying it out loud once. If therapy ends up being the right fit, we'll keep going. If not, you'll leave the call with a clearer sense of what might actually help.
